OCA optical adhesive bonding
Although the protective glass can play a certain protective role, if you want the product to be more durable, or to have protection, such as UV, moisture and dust resistance, it is more suitable to choose OCA bonding.
OCA optical adhesive is one of the raw materials for important touch screens. It is made of optical acrylic adhesive without substrate, and then a layer of release film is attached to the upper and lower bottom layers. It is a double-sided adhesive tape without substrate material. It has the advantages of high light transmittance, high adhesion, water resistance, high temperature resistance and UV resistance.
Filling the air gap between the TFT LCD and the top surface of the display with optical glue reduces the refraction of light (from the LCD backlight and outside light), thereby improving the readability of the TFT display. In addition to the optical benefits, it can also improve the durability and touch accuracy of the touch screen, and prevent fogging and condensation.
Use alternative protective cover materials such as polycarbonate layers or polyethylene, which are less expensive but not very durable. Typically used for non-handheld, harsh environment use, lower priced products. The thickness of the cover is between 0.4 mm and 6 mm, and the protective cover is installed on the surface of the LCD, and the cover can withstand shocks in place of the display screen.
